XSEED Games sent out a teaser for some of their 2015 titles late last year, and since then they've started to reveal some of those hinted at titles along with some new announcements. For those wondering what the publisher's Fall releases would be, you're in luck as two of those games have now been announced.
The first title is the newest entry in the Corpse Party series, Corpse Party: Blood Drive. Exclusively available for the PlayStation Vita, it follows the story after the events of the previous title, Book of Shadows. Utilizing a new full 3D approach, Blood Drive returns to the gameplay movement from the original game and includes the series' trademark binaural 3D audio and the screen-altering "Darkening" system. It also includes extras such as voice actor interviews, art, music, and more. The game includes 11 story chapters and eight supplemental "Extra Chapters".
And for the first time in the series, the game will be available in a special "Everafter Edition" physical limited edition containing a two-disc compilation of songs from Corpse Party, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, and Corpse Party: Blood Drive, as well as a "Dying Art" book featuring artwork from throughout the franchise.
Taking place as a direct predecessor to the series' first North American release (Earth Defense Force 2017, known as Earth Defense Force 3 in Japan), the enhanced remake of the game on the PlayStation Vita is getting a western release in the form of Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders From Planet Space. Players will take the role of one of three distinct military classes and fend off hordes of invading giant insects from a third-person perspective by way of conventional weaponry, armored vehicles, jetpacks, air strikes, trip mines, energy weapons, and more.
New to this version of the game is a number of improvements and additions helmed by the original developers at Sandlot, including up to four-player online co-op, an entirely new Air Raider class, and a new English dub. The game will receive both a physical and digital release via the PlayStation Store.
Both titles will be available this Fall, although no exact release date was announced for either title.
