If you are wondering how Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will differ from Ground Zeroes in terms of difficulty, Hideo Kojima might just have an answer for you. When asked this very question on Twitter, Kojima said that The Phantom Pain won't be so difficult since it's the gameplay feels more ajusted.
"If you felt it was difficult to play Ground Zeroes, I think you'll be ok with The Phantom Pain. The feeling of the controls is intact, but it's much improved, there's the Fulton recovery and support and you can also use the buddy. It's different from Ground Zeroes that was a closed space, where you could not escape," said Kojima.
"I wrote the 'feeling of the controls is intact,' in fact based on the feedback from Ground Zeroes, the feeling of the operation of The Phantom Pain is not confusing. It's been adjusted to make it easier to play."
While Ground Zeroes felt a bit restricte due to the game's mechanics and size of the area, The Phantom offers the player much more freedom, not only in terms of more options but also a much bigger area.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain releases on the 1st of September on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
