Following the footsteps of other titles like Star Wars Battlefront and Titanfall, Rainbow Six Siege won't feature a single-player campaign. Despite this, Ubisoft states that players will still be able to play alone by playing against enemy AI.
"There is no story mode per se. You go through training, where you get to experience different operators and their devices," Art director Scott Mitchell told WhatCulture. "You can play against enemy AI in co-op through all the maps. You can customise matches, so that's what we're offering on the single-player side of things."
A closed multiplayer beta is currently live across all three platforms, with Ubisoft recently extending the beta by three days, meaning that it will end on the 1st of October.
Rainbow Six Siege releases on the 1st of December on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
