Capcom has announced Resident Evil Origins Collection for PS4 and Xbox One. This HD collection includes remastered versions of Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0.
The original Resident Evil is the same exact version that was released earlier this year on several platforms, which was based on 2002's GameCube version of the game, while The Resident Evil 0 HD remaster is based on the version that was originally released in 2002. Resident Evil 0 will feature several gameplay improvements, including optional camera-relative controls, the option to choose between the new 16:9 widescreen ratio or the oldschool 4:3 one, and significantly enhanced graphics and audio. What's perhaps the best addition to this remaster, is the fact that players will be able to play the game's campaign as Wesker in place of Billy, all this while using Wesker's abilities, such as teleport.
Resident Evil Origins releases on the 19th of January in North America and on the 22nd of January in Europe, and will be available for €19.99/£14.99/$19.99. For those already own the HD remaster of the original Resident Evil, Capcom has revealed that the HD remaster of Resident Evil 0 will be available to purchase separately on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC early next year.
