Although the Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone expansion releases next week, CD Projekt RED has released today the expansion's launch trailer, allowing players to get a glimpse at what they can expected from it.
Hearts of Stone takes place in the wilds of No Man's Land and will focus around an immortal bandit captain named Olgierd von Everec, with Geralt of Rivia being tasked to bring him down. Containing over 10 hours of game time, Hearts of Stone allows players to recruit new characters, defeat new monsters and shape the storyline based on the player's choices. The expansion also introduces a new gameplay mechanic called Runewords, where each Runeword will impacts a different aspect of in-game mechanics, giving players the chance to experiment with various strategies and tactics.
Hearts of Stone will be available digitally for $9.99/€9.99, but those that pre-order the expansion will get a 15% discount. For those who prefer retail versions, there's also going to be a special boxed version of the expansion, which in addition to the expansion also includes two physical decks of Gwent. The boxed version will be available for $19.99/€19.99.
