Star Wars: Battlefront will not have microtransactions, DICE design director Niklas Fegraeus has confirmed. Speaking with Gamespot, Fegraeus has told that points and credits will be earned based on the player's performance, with the latter being used to purchase new weapons.

"The currency system is based on your game performance. The credits that you use to buy things in the game are earned," said Fegraeus.

"There are several [credit] systems working together here. Just doing things in the game earns you points, and those [points] earn you credits. That's the baseline system; the more you do, the more credits you get. But then there are other systems, such as small challenges for you to complete, and rewards for different actions."

Electronic Arts has also revealed the game's minimum and recommended system requirements:

Minimum:

  • Operating System: 64-bit Windows 7 or later
  • Processor (Intel): Intel i3 6300T or equivalent
