PlayStation Network is back to normal after being offline for around twelve hours yesterday. Although Sony has yet to reveal the reason behind the outage, it's good to know that, unlike what the company had reported, PSN won't be offline until the 7th of January.
To compensate players, Sony will be extending the subscriptions of PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Now and Video rentals, but details on how long these will be extended will be announced later. "Thanks for your patience today - stay tuned for details on PS Plus, PS Now, and video rental extensions," said Sony.
Despite being only half a day, it's good to see Sony compensating players for the downtime. If you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you can now download January's PlayStation Plus titles.
