Since earlier today, players worldwide have been experiencing issues while trying to connect to PlayStation Network, leaving them unable to log onto the PSN and use the network features. Although Sony has yet to reveal the reason behind this outage, the company has revealed that PlayStation Network will continue to remain down until the 7th of January.
"PlayStation Network is currently experiencing connectivity issues. Click here for more details. 4th January 2016 at 10:20pm GMT to 7th January 2016 at 7am GMT," reads the message at the top of the page of the PlayStation site.
At the moment, pretty much everything related to PlayStation Network is currently down, including Account Management, Gaming And Social online features, PlayStation Now, PlayStation Store, PlayStation Video and PlayStation Music. Sony has also warned that users might have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features.
