Bigben Interactive has announced that Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter will release on the 27th of May.
The eighth Sherlock Holmes game from Frogwares Studios promises to deliver an incredible adventure that will combine the best of investigation, action and exploration, in order to deliver an unique experience that will "test the limits of players' nerves and intelligence".
Featuring 5 different cases, The Devil's Daughter will be a bit different in comparision to previous titles in the series, as the game allows the players to free roam the streets of Victorian London. Although there aren't many details on how this will affect the overall gameplay, the developer confirmed that we can expected the usual puzzle-solving and occasional reflex-based action sequences.
"Playing as the great detective, players will have to track down evil in the darkest corners of Victorian London, freely exploring several neighbourhoods in the city in search of clues and suspects while they untangle a web of intrigue leading to a final stunning revelation," said Bigben Interactive.
"Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter offers unique game mechanics and an epic storyline for an interactive and immersive experience unlike any they have ever had before. For the first time, the powers of analysis and composure of Sherlock Holmes will be shaken by emotion as he is caught between family, dark forces and powerful thirsts for vengeance."
Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
