Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops III's Awakening DLC is coming to PS3 on the 5th of April. With the DLC already available on PS4 and the publisher admiting last year that DLC packs availability would vary on PS3 and Xbox 360, many thought that 'Awakening' wasn't coming to last-gen consoles.
This first DLC pack introduces four new maps: Splash (an abandoned waterpark), Skyjacked (a modernised version of the popular Call of Duty: Black Ops II multiplayer map Hijacked), Rise (a construction site covered in snow), and Gauntlet (a three-lane map structure with a sprawling jungle, sub-zero arctic zone and rainy urban cityscape).
Awakening also comes with a new Zombies map called Der Eisendrache. Set in a chilling medieval Austrian castle during World War II, Der Eisendrache features Origin characters Richtofen, Nikolai, Takeo, and Dempsey as they unravel the horrors that occurred there and battle waves of the undead.
Activision has yet to confirm if it's also coming to Xbox 360, but with all Call of Duty DLC from now on being available exclusively on PlayStation platforms for 30 days, it's possible it releases on the platform sometime next month. As for Xbox One and PC, the DLC releases this Sunday, April 3rd.
The 'Awakening' DLC will be available for $14.99/£11.59/€14.49.
