Square Enix has announced that the physical release of Hitman has been delayed to January 2017. The retail version was previously due to release later this year, after all the game's episodes became available.
The physical release of the Hitman will come with all post-release content that the game will receive throughout the year. Due to this, Square Enix believes that delaying this version was the best option in order to deliver the "the best disc version" of the game.
"This year is all about delivering the best episodic experience for Hitman and that takes us to Autumn/Fall," said Square Enix. "Releasing the disc version in January just makes sure we have enough time after the season concludes to dedicate to getting the best disc version of the game out."
Hitman releases tomorrow on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Players can pick between the 'Hitman Intro Pack', which includes the Prologue and the France level for $14.99/€14.99/£11.59, or the full package for $59.99/€59.99/£44.99. If you purchased the Hitman Intro Pack, each new location will be available to purchase for $9.99/€9.99/£7.99.
