SEGA has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Valkyria Chronicles Remastered, which focuses on the game's story.
"In the world of Valkyria Chronicles, the year is 1935 E.C., and the continent of Europa has been plunged into the Second Europan War between the Autocratic East Europan Imperial Alliance -- also known as The Empire -- and the Atlantic Federation over the precious resource Ragnite," reads the synopsis released along with the trailer.
"The Empire is sweeping through the continent like an unchecked wildfire and has its eyes set on the rich Ragnite deposits of the Principality of Gallia. Although peaceful Gallia remains neutral in the conflict, its citizens will need to defend home and country against the inevitable invasion. Follow Lieutenant Welkin Gunther and the vaunted Squad 7 of the Gallian Militia as they take on the seemingly insurmountable forces of the Empire."
Valkyria Chronicles Remastered will feature high-resolution graphics and run at 1080p/60fps. The game also supports both Japanese and English audio, and includes all the DLC content released for the original game and trophy support. Unlike its Japanese release, the game won't come with the demo of Valkyria: Azure Revolution.
For those that live in North America, pre-ordering the game or getting one of the first-run copies of the game will get you a collectible Squad 7 Armored Case. As for Europeans players, these can pick up a special edition called "Europa Edition", which comes with a 32-page art book called The Art of Valkyria Chronicles Remastered and a double-sided A3 poster depicting Squad 7 on one side and Selvaria Bles on the other.
Valkyria Chronicles Remastered will be available on PS4 for $29.99.
