Telltale has announced that 7 Days to Die, the open world survival horror game developed by The Fun Pimps, will release on the 28th of June on PS4 and Xbox One. In Europe, although the digital version releases on that day, the retail version will only be available on the 1st of July.
The game is set in the year 2034, after the events of a Third World War where nuclear attacks destroyed a large portion of the planet and the surviving population was infected by an unknown virus. This virus kills the infected in 7 days, after which they reanimate becoming blood-thirsty zombies. As a survivor of this nuclear war, the player must survive by finding shelter, food and water, as well as scavenging supplies and fend off the numerous mutants that populate Navezgane, one of the last true Edens on Earth.
The console versions comes with a few additions, including local split-screen co-op, online multiplayer modes, among other features. Those that pre-order the game will be granted exclusive access to five character skins from Telltale The Walking Dead including Michonne and Lee Everett.
7 Days to Die will be available to purchase for $29.99.
