Codemasters has officially announced F1 2016, the next instalment in the racing series, for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
F1 2016 promises to be a step forward for the franchise, with its carrer mode taking players deeper into the world's most glamorous, exciting and prestigious motorsport, both on and off the track. Spanning up to ten seasons, carrer mode has players selecting an avatar to represent them within the game world as well as choosing a number to take with them through their career.
You can choose to join any of the evelen F1 teams, however, you will have to take in consideration that each team will have its own goals and expectations. Although it might be tough to start further down the grid, meet and exceed your team's expectations and goals might be a lot easier. As you advance through your carrier, you can earn contracts, move from team to team, and even choose to develop your favourite team into a championship contender.
"F1 2016 is a massive step forward for the franchise", said Lee Mather, Principal Games Designer at Codemasters. "The new career mode sits at the heart of the game and allows gamers to create their own legend over a career that can span for up to a massive ten seasons."
"Beyond improving upon the fastest and most thrilling on-track racing experience in gaming, F1 2016 uniquely offers the drama and vehicle development that goes on behind the scenes. A rich car upgrade system is fully integrated into a new and deep practice development programme which mirrors the tests carried out by the teams in real life."
Carrer Mode will see the return of the Safety Car, the introduction of the sport's iconic Virtual Safety Car, a challenging new street circuit in Baku, among many other unannounced improvements and features. The game will also feature a 'Time of Day Editor', which allows players to customise the visuals of the race experience.
In addition to the on-track experience, the game expands Carrer Mode with the inclusion of hospitality areas for each team, which act as a game hub for players. In these areas, players can work with their Research and Development Engineer and Player Agent to develop progress both on and off the track.
F1 2016 releases this Summer on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Players that pick up the game's Day One Limited Edition will receive an exclusive "Career Booster" DLC pack.
