Electronic Arts announced EA Originals program, a new initiative that's meant to help independent developers with funding, development, advertising and release of their games. The first game under this program is Fe from Zoink Games.

"EA Originals is about finding great new games that we know players are going to love, and working with small developers to make sure those games get discovered and into the hands of players," said said Patrick Söderlund, Executive Vice President of EA Studios. He added that EA Originals is all about bringing these amazing experiencies to the world, support small developers and offering these a level of security.

As for the first game under the EA Originals program, Fe is a game where you play as a cub who has no idea what's going on in the world around him. It focuses on theme of nature and relationships, as the cub communicates with other animals and plants through song. Not everything in the forest is friendly though, as you will sometimes have to avoid and hide from dangerous evil creatures.

"At its heart, Fe is a personal narrative about our relationship with nature, the land, and its beings," said Söderlund. "It's a wordless celebration of our longing to be one with world around us. It's a story that reminds us that everything in this world is connected, living in a delicate balance that is constantly under threat. It's a game full of discovery, conflict, and relationships."

A release date and platforms for Fe have yet to be revealed.
