Team Ninja's Action RPG Nioh will release worldwide on the 9th of February, publisher Koei Tecmo announced at Sony's Tokyo Game Show press conference.
Originally developed as a PS3 exclusive set to release a few months after the console's release, Nioh ended up being delayed for several years. Despite this, Koei Tecmo confirmed several times that the game had not been cancelled. It was later revealed that Nioh would release on PS4 instead of PS3. Team Ninja has already released two playable demos for Nioh, with the developer taking players' feedback to help shape the game's development.
Set in a time of civil war in Japan, Nioh not only incorporates classic elements such as samurai and supernatural creatures from Japanese folklore, but also offers the exhilaration of an authentic samurai sword fight straight from Team Ninja, the team that defined brutal action games.
Nioh will be available exclusively on PS4.
