Puzzle-platformer Little Nightmares releases on the 28th of April in digital and physical format on PS4, Xbox One and PC, Bandai Namco announced.
Developed by the Swedish Tarsier Studios, the team behind LittleBigPlanet Vita and Tearaway Unfolded, Little Nightmares tells the story of a nine-year old girl named Six who is kidnapped from her home and taken to work in The Maw – a surreal underwater resort catering to the whims of the powerful elite.
Trapped in The Maw with nothing but her wits and a lighter, Six must find light in the darkness and strength in her weakness to survive the attentions of its monstrous residents and escape to the world outside. Six will need to be careful as each room is a cell, each resident a threat, and both puzzles to untangle.
Those who pre-order the digital version will receive The Scarecrow Sack and the Upside-down Teapot Masks to help Six blend in with the other inhabitants of The Maw. PS4 and PC players will also receive the original soundtrack in digital format, an exclusive PS4 theme or a PC wallpaper featuring The Janitor.
As for the retail release, the standard version of Little Nightmares comes with a copy of the game and the original soundtrack. There's also the 'Six Edition', which is available exclusively at GAME retailers, and includes a 10 cm high figurine trapped in a themed cage box, as well as the original soundtrack composed by Tobias Lilja from Tarsier Studios, an exclusive A3 poster and a sticker board.
