During the Nintendo Switch presentation, Nintendo revealed that its new console will feature an online paid service, which is not only required to play online but also offers a free classic game every month. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has now clarified that a game will only be playable for free during the month it's being offered.
It means that essentially you’ve got access to that game for a period of time, and then after the month there’s a new selection.
You’ll have the opportunity to buy it, but [after] that month we’ve moved on to another game.
This means that it's going to be different from the PS Plus and Xbox Live Gold models, where as long players download a game once it becomes available they will always have access to it.
Nintendo Switch releases on the 3rd of March.
