During the latest Active Time Report, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata announced that a PS4 Pro update will release for the game on the 21st of February. Tabata also revealed new details about the upcoming content updates, including improvements to the late part of the game.
The update that's coming on the 21st of February will include the following improvements and features:
- PS4 Pro support for 1080p/60 FPS
- Time-limited quests.
- Level cap raise to 120.
- Players will be able to save 200 pictures instead of 150.
- It'll be possible to use a music player when riding a chocobo.
While Tabata admits that the Pro patch won't offer a solid 60FPS, he said that it's still very smooth and will always be close to 60FPS. The time-limited quests, just like its name indicates, are quests that will also only be available for a short period. When the update launches, these will be new mobhunts, but players can expect other quests in the future, including limited-time fishing events.
On the 28th of March, the same day Episode Gladiolus releases, the game will receive another patch that will improve chapter 13 and the late part of the game in general, a portion of the game that was heavily criticized by some fans. In addition, there are also plans to allow players to ride the Regalia off-road, although this is still something that's still in early development.
Finally, we also got a new trailer that showscases what we can expect in the upcoming month for Final Fantasy XV.
