Publisher Square Enix has released today a new developer diary video for Life is Strange: Before the Storm. The video highlights the relationship between Chloe and Rachel, and provides some insight from writing consultant Ashly Burch and lead writer Zak Gariss on what it has been like to create a brand new story.
Ashly Burch, who voiced Chloe in the original Life is Strange, is now a writing consultant on Before the Storm, something which has truly helped mould the younger Chloe Price into the character gamers will play. Burch has also been working closely with Rhianna Devries, the voice actor playing the younger Chloe in Before the Storm, to ensure the level of performance and emotion is on par with the original game.
Zak Gariss also highlights that this new story will allow players to experience a different side of Chloe Price and how much she changed before the events of the first game. He also adds that the player's decisions will play a huge role in determining what the relationship between Chloe and Rachel is like and what kind of impact Rachel will have on Chloe.
The first of three episodes of Life is Strange: Before the Storm is entitled ‘Awake’ and will release on the 31st of August on PS4, Xbox One, PC.
