Sony Interactive Entertainment has released a new trailer of the upcoming Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Although it's only 30 seconds long, the trailer shows off dialogue, cutscenes, and lots of gun-fire action.

In addition, Naughty Dog announced that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will receive a new multiplayer update on the same day The Lost Legacy releases. The highlight of this update will be the addition of the Survival Arena game mode. Although no details on this game mode were provided, Naughty Dog will be revealing more information in a livestream on the 15th of August.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a standalone expansion that will star Chloe Frazer, alongside Uncharted 4 antagonist Nadine Ross. The game will take players on an adventure to find a legendary artifact that the Hoysala people of India created to honor the Hindu god Ganesh's story. The story will be more focused on character development, exploring Chloe's and Nadine's story, their personalities, and the relationship between the two. In addition to a new single-player experience, The Lost Legacy also comes with the multiplayer component of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be available on the 22nd of August for $39.99/£34.99/€39.99. Anyone that pre-orders Uncharted: The Lost Legacy at participating retailers will receive a free digital code to download Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy on The Lost Legacy's release. For those who pre-order on PlayStation Store, you'll also get an Uncharted: The Lost Legacy PS4 theme.
