Skyrim Patch 1.4 Now Live On PS3, Xbox 360 Bethesda has confirmed that the long awaited next patch for Skyrim, patch version 1.4, is now live on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

The patch was released on the PC last week, following a testing period in which Steam users could try out a beta version of the patch. It fixes some major complaints on the different platforms, such as significant frame-rate issues which were affecting the PlayStation 3 version of the game.

The PC version offered support for the Skyrim Workshop, but aside from the framerate issues with the PS3 version, the rest of the bug fixes and optimisations were shared across all of the different platforms.

Some of the core changes related to instances such as - the game crashing sometimes when loading saved games; dragon priest masks not rendering properly; pathing glitches with the AI; and scripts not being cleared properly from memory. For a full list of the fixes, please check out the Bethblog.

Bethesda has also told gamers to stay tuned for future updates, as the developers continue to work on optimising Skyrim to work perfectly on each of the different platforms.
