1  Atari Publishing New Neverwinter Title Mon, Aug 23rd, 2010, 9:31 am (EST) BY DARRYL Atari Europe have announced that they, along with Cryptic Studios, will be working on a new game dubbed, Neverwinter. It will be based on the Dungeons and Dragons property and will, unsurprisingly be based in the city of Neverwinter. "We're beyond thrilled to develop a brand new version of Neverwinter. It's been years since the original became a gaming icon and we're honored to work with such a great franchise," said Jack Emmert, COO of Cryptic Studios. More »

0  E3 2010: Driver: San Francisco Hands-On Preview Mon, Jun 21st, 2010, 3:40 pm (EST) BY JORDAN DOUGLAS The Driver series has a long and storied history, which includes the distinction of being the first ever open world driving game. Ubisoft eventually acquired the rights to publish Driver from Atari after 2006's Parallel Lines. A new iteration had been long rumored across the internet, and Ubisoft finally unveiled the new game this past week at E3. Driver: San Francisco puts players back into John Tanner's shoes, but in ways you might not have expected. Driver: San Francisco is set a few months after the events of Driv3r, featuring both John Tanner and Charles Jericho. At the start of the game, Tanner is seriously injured in a car crash which leaves him in a comatose state. However, this doesn't stop him from being Driver's protagonist, as San Francisco takes place inside Tanner's so called "out of body experience." This provides him with certain otherworldly abilities that reflect his dream-like state. More »

0  Test Drive Unlimited 2 Getting Open Beta Wed, May 12th, 2010, 11:56 am (EST) BY JAMIE COURTS Alain Jarniou, Director of Test Drive Unlimited 2, has stated in an interview with VG247 that there will, in fact, be an open beta for Test Drive Unlimited 2 coming sometime this year. 3  Sony Patents Universal Controller, Works With PS3, 360, Wii Mon, Feb 22nd, 2010, 8:53 am (EST) BY DARRYL It has been revealed by the US Patent & Trademark Office that Sony have filed a patent for a universal games controller, which will have a touch-sensitive LCD screen that shows different button layouts. It also has an alphanumeric keyboard. According to the plans, it could replace the current generation controllers and store up to three button layouts/functionality within its memory. It could also emulate the functionality of older systems, like the SNES, Megadrive or Atari systems. More »

However, that's the now and they won't last forever. We mentioned a fortnight ago, five of the biggest MMORPGs at the moment, but what's around the corner that will be able to dethrone those currently flying high? Should Blizzard be concerned about some of the upcoming titles? Most of the titles up for discussion in this article are in the late stages of development and are running their beta testing phases. 0  Tony Hawk: Ride Xbox 360 Exclusive in UK Posted on 2009/05/20 BY SHAWN Activision has just announced that the upcoming Tony Hawk: Ride will be an exclusive for Microsoft's Xbox 360 in Britain --- other countries in Europe aren't affected by the deal. Just a few weeks ago Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) had stepped in to publish Ghostbusters: The Video Game as a timed exclusive, likely due to issues with Atari's European publishing branch. 0  Atari Pulls Out Of E3 2009 Posted on 2009/05/12 BY SHAWN With just three weeks before the start of E3 2009, Atari has announced that they will not be exhibiting at this year's event, only attending.
