3  Gamescom 2010: Press Conference Previews Tue, Aug 10th, 2010, 8:23 pm (EST) BY JORDAN DOUGLAS Gamescom, Europe's stop on the major game convention circuit, is just around the corner, kicking off with three press conferences from Microsoft, Electronic Arts and Sony next Tuesday. The German hosted event has risen to prominence over the past couple years, now viewed by publishers as an additional avenue (alongside E3 and TGS) for major global announcements - Sony and Microsoft revealed the PS3 Slim and Fable III at Gamescom 2009, respectively. 4  Is Halo 3: ODST Really Worth $60? Posted on 2009/09/03 BY DARRYL Originally titled Halo 3: Recon, Bungie and Microsoft have never denied that the game is essentially an expansion pack for Halo 3. However, when it was initially unveiled it was never meant to be a full-budget title, something that was changed later on. The question is, does the newly named Halo 3: ODST really warrant consumers shelling out $60? In terms of content, Halo 3: ODST has a reasonable amount. There is an original campaign, as well as Firefight mode. Players will also be granted to all of Halo 3's online multiplayer content too. This doesn't actually look that bad, but once a deeper analysis is conducted, it looks a bit shakey. More »

Up until recently, Gearbox Studios upcoming shooter was a game that looked graphically like many other titles.
