Fantasy, in a gaming sense, is usually a genre in which tales of knights and heroes are told, existing in a world of monsters, magic and mystery. So when a knight in a purple thong turns up and introduces himself as DeathSpank, it is clear that this is not an ordinary outing into the world of Fantasy. Developed by Hothead Games, the team behind the Penny Arcade games, Deathspank was bound to be humourous, but what is interesting is how it matches both the RPG and action genres so well in regards to the gameplay. Despite not actually being that long ago, it feels like an age since Braid was first released on Xbox Live Arcade in August, 2008. Now just over a year later, the game has since seen releases on PC and Mac, and now it's time for the game to become available to PlayStation 3 owners via the PlayStation Network. One of the best selling and most critically acclaimed Xbox Live Arcade games of all time, it's little surprise that independent developer, Jonathan Blow, worked with Hothead Games to port the game to the PS3.
