Killzone 3, from Dutch developer Guerrilla Games, was one of the main titles showcasing this technology. We got our hands on an extended version of the demo shown at Sony's press conference, complete with jet packs, mobile turrets, precision rocket launchers, and all kinds of shooting mayhem. |

On March 24th 2010 the PSP celebrated its fifth birthday, and to mark the occasion we decided to look ahead to the next generation of PSP and outline what direction the handheld should take. The current PSP suffers from a lack of identity; much of its functionality is underused because of poor marketing and an unintuitive design. It has been overshadowed and out performed by innovations on the Nintendo DS, and has come under increasing pressure from new competitors - namely Apple's iPhone. The new PSP must learn from past mistakes and take notes from the competition if Sony wants to stay relevant in handheld gaming. |

Fredrik Liliegren, Former CEO of DICE, the developer behind the Battlefield series, believes browser-based games are becoming a "viable alternative" to home consoles, like the Xbox 360, Wii, and PlayStation 3. Since leaving DICE in 2006, Liliegren has become CEO of start-up developer, Antic Entertainment, a studio focused on browser-based games, like Junk Battles. |
