1  Guild Wars 2 To Defy All MMO Conventions Wed, Aug 11th, 2010, 5:05 pm (EST) BY COLIN NCsoft has released a new trailer for their upcoming sequel to MMO Guild Wars. Dubbed the Manifesto trailer, the dev team at ArenaNet talk it up for Guild Wars 2, promoting the brand new visual style and gameplay system. Unlike many MMOs on the market today, they're looking to remove the grind and put players in a persistent world where they are the hero, where the things they do remain and the consequences to their actions actually matter. 0  Aion Box Art Revealed Posted on 2009/06/30 BY DARRYL Aion is a Korean RPG which is being published by NCSoft. While the game has already been out for some time in Korea, it's not scheduled for a western release until around September, 2009. NCSoft have just released the new box art which will feature on western versions of the game and it really shows off the fantasy element that's present within the game. More »

However, that's the now and they won't last forever. We mentioned a fortnight ago, five of the biggest MMORPGs at the moment, but what's around the corner that will be able to dethrone those currently flying high? Should Blizzard be concerned about some of the upcoming titles? Most of the titles up for discussion in this article are in the late stages of development and are running their beta testing phases.
