Voice acting, as defined by Wikipedia, is the act of "providing one's voice to an animated character." Though its origin is unknown it's been safely lodged in the acting world for quite some time now. Disney, as many of you are well aware, has been well known for its animated movies and, more impressively, as a voice acting pioneer. Snow White (1937) was the company's first full-length animated feature film made and Adriana Caselotti voiced the movie's title character. More »

Kojima: Metal Gear Sold Rising Will Attract New Users

Hideo Kojima, creator of Metal Gear Solid, has stated his belief that Metal Gear Solid: Rising "will create new users." While speaking on twitter, Kojima said "the next MGS... "RISING." this game will create new users, be developed by the new generation, a new MGS." This seems in line with the small bits of information we know about Rising, namely that it will be more of an action-adventure experience. More »

The NPD Group has released the February 2010 sales numbers for the United States. The Xbox 360 has come out on top in hardware sales with 422K sold, while Bioshock 2 took the software crown with 563K. Below are the hardware and software numbers.

Sony Patents 'Degradable' Demos

Sony Computer Entertainment America has filed a patent for a new kind of game demo its calling a 'degradable demo'. The degradable demos would allow players to play a game in its entirety for a limited time. After a certain number of hours or plays the demo would slowly start to remove features until the player purchases the game. Degradable demos would allow developers to choose how much of their game is available and when features would be removed. More »

Half-Minute Hero is a game for the PlayStation Portable that hopes to serve as a one-stop shop, combining multiple genres into a single package. It's a very unique game and despite bringing all these genres together, it's held together by its key emphasis on time. The game has already seen the light of day in Japan and North America (although it was known as Yusha 30 in Japan) and now the game has made its way to Europe thanks to Rising Star Games. More »

Peace Walker Originally Slated As Metal Gear Solid 5

New Valkyria Chronicles DLC This Thursday

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Coming Summer 2010

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep was released in Japan last month, but although Square Enix had confirmed that this PSP exclusive will be coming to North America, they had never specified when. That is, until now.

According to the latest edition of Game Informer magazine, the game now has a provisional release window of Summer 2010, which means it will likely see a release during the months of June and August. More »

Iron Man 2 Release Date Confirmed By Sega

Sega announced today that Iron Man 2: The Video Game, will arrive at almost exactly the same time as its Hollywood big brother. It's scheduled to be released on the 4th of May in North America, with the film coming out on the 7th.

The previous game was met with a less than positive reception, but apparently Sega San Francisco (formerly Secret Level) have taken the criticism on board, and will look to rectify things for the sequel. Hopefully that's actually the case. More »

During EA's fiscal third-quarter announcement, an outline of release dates was unveiled including a plethora of major games from the publisher. These titles include Crysis 2, Dead Space 2, Dragon Age 2, as well as a console port of the massively popular PC title, The Sims 3.

The ports if The Sims and Crysis 2 will see a release sometime in the fourth quarter of 2010. Although it is unclear exactly which systems The Sims 3 will be ported to, Crysis 2 will see a launch on PC as well as the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles. More »
