0  NIS America: Bringing The Anime Sun, Jul 18th, 2010, 7:55 pm (EST) BY COLIN NIS America has come to be known for bringing many of Nippon Ichi Software as well as other Japanese developers' cult classic games like Disgaea, Atelier, Mana Khemia, Ar Tonelico, and more recently, Sakura Wars. The list can go on. What do all of these game have in common? Well they're pretty niche and definitely very Japanese in character, but their following are just as hardcore. Think again, as NIS America has brought yet another one to the Western market. Developed in collaboration by Nippon Ichi, Gust and Idea Factory, Trinity Universe is as JRPG as JRPGs get, featuring a mash-up of original characters and cameos from Nippon Ichi and Gust games, including the ever popular Etna and Prinny from Disgaea and Violet Platane from Atelier Viorate: Alchemist of Gramnad 2. However, as JRPGs begin to leave a less than pleasant taste in the mouth of gamers due to the lack of innovation, it begs the question if Trinity Universe can truly shine and stand out from the crowd. 0  Trinity Universe Preview Fri, May 14th, 2010, 5:26 pm (EST) BY ADAM MA It's hard not to approach Trinity Universe with anything but a sense of tentative sadness. It's nice to see so many companies working together, let alone that the developers in question make some of the most identifiable RPG's on the market right now. But ultimately I find myself disappointed that all three of these companies (known for their sprite-based character design) have decided that a pooling of resources must also feature some sort of dramatic change. Since then, information has been quite sparse, but with regards to Trinity, things have now started to increase in Japan.
