Those who have been following the recent developments behind The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which was recently unveiled during Nintendo's E3 2010 press conference, will know that the game requires Wii MotionPlus to control Link's actions. Zelda Skyward Sword Announced For Wii, Coming 2011

At today's E3 2010 Nintendo press conference, Shigeru Miyamoto unveiled the new Zelda title coming to the Wii system. Zelda: Skyward Sword, is the first true Wii remote based title and will also integrate the Wii Motion Plus to use the sword in a more 1:1 motion to sword fight. More »

Nintendo DS Sales Surpass GameBoy

Nintendo has revealed that the DS handheld device has surpassed its predecessor, the GameBoy, in worldwide life-to-date sales. The DS has reached over 129 million units in its short lifespan, compared to the GameBoy which hit 118 million over two decades. These figures place the DS at the top of all time handheld sales, not surprisingly, Nintendo continues to dominate the market. More »

It would seem that 2D games have become something of a memory, as current generation games sport hugely realistic graphics, heavy plots, and state of the art game mechanics. However, for those who have ever found themselves missing their old school games Atlus has just the mix with their new upcoming title, 3D Dot Game Heroes. It allows players to venture forth into Dotonia, the kingdom that was once 2D but opted to be a more popular 3D world. Once, Dotonia had been threatened by the Dark King, who attempted to conquer the world, but was thwarted by a great hero. Now only the descendant of this hero may wield the legendary sword and stop the Dark Bishop. The fate of the world resides in the ability to collect the six magical orbs in this unique light-hearted adventure puzzle game. More »

As we get closer to the release of God of War III, fans are eating up every bit of information they can get. The men and women at Sony are keeping a tight lid on this one however, with only the occasional trailer here, a screenshot there, and the unveiling of the box set for fans to chew on. That's exactly the way it should be. As a culture we tend to get a little obsessed with how much information we can learn before something even happens, and it's created a lot of false hopes and empty promises.
