A Gamer's Holiday Gift Guide - Game List for Guys

Welcome back to our ‘Gamer’s Holiday Gift Guide’. For the last two articles we’ve focused specifically on memorabilia like Plasma Gun replicas and Mario Chess sets. For the remaining parts, we’re going to be focusing on which titles from 2011 you need to have in your games’ collection.

Part 3 is focusing on the guys, so if you’re shopping for a certain someone, hopefully something on this list will catch your eye. There are two more lists left so be sure to check back.

We hope you enjoy our selections, and if you haven’t yet, check out Part 1 and Part 2.

1. Deus Ex: Human Revolution (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) - Check it Out!
For guys who are really into open ended games, Deus Ex is definitely a game for you. You play Adam Jensen, an ex-SWAT specialist who has some pretty awesome body augmentations up his sleeve. With every decision you make, it alters how the rest of the game plays out. For more information, check out our review here.

2. Saints Row: The Third (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) - Check it Out!
For people who love sandbox titles and highly suggestive humor, any one of the Saints Row titles is good to check out. Saints Row: The Third has just been released this past November and has been met with generally favorable reviews with us giving  it a 9/10.

3. Witcher 2 (PC) - Check it Out!
Arguably one of the most successful PC games of this year, The Witcher 2 is definitely one that gamers should have on their wish lists. We gave it a 9/10.

4. Skyrim (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) - Check it Out!
Skyrim is one of those games that just goes to show you that hard work really does pay off. Skyrim's received a plethora of perfect scores from many publications including a rare 40/40 from Famitsu. This one is sure to have you hooked all winter long. For more information, check out our review.

5. Bulletstorm (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) - Check it Out!
Epic Games' over the top fps, Bulletstorm, is definitely a great stocking stuffer for this holiday season. Jam-packed with memorable boss fights and some hilarious one-liners, this is enough to keep you entertained through the upcoming months. To learn more about this game, check out our review.

6. Batman Arkham City (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) - Check it Out!
Arkham Asylum put Batman back on the video gaming map in a big way and Arkham City took things to the next level - a must have for fans of the DC dark hero. We gave this title an 9/10

7. Dark Souls (PS3, Xbox 360) - Check it Out!
If your guy's a fan of Demon's Souls or any other title that requires this much focus, than Dark Souls would definitely be one to check out. Although this title is enough to have your man screaming at the television, the addicting game play is enough to keep him  coming back again and again. To learn more about this challenging beast of a title, have a gander at our review.

8. No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise (PS3, Xbox 360) - Check it Out!
If you're a guy and have yet to play the No More Heroes franchise, this one might be enough to entice you. With tons of girls and laser swords, there's enough to have you laughing for hours on end. If you don't know a lot about the series though, we highly suggest you read our review of No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle for the Nintendo Wii.

9. Gears of War 3 (Xbox 360) - Check it Out!
The Gears of War series is one of the best that the 360 has to offer, so it's only natural to get in on the third title of the series. There are plenty of twists this time around, but all the killer game play of the first two Gears of War titles are present and accounted for. We gave this one an 8/10.

10. Mortal Kombat (PS3, Xbox 360) - Check it Out!
Mortal Kombat is one of the best titles to bond over. Whether you're performing gruesome fatalities or daring combos, Mortal Kombat's entertainment value never really falters. For more information on this reboot, check out our review here.
