Alan Wake A Testament To Un-Rushed Game Development

Alan Wake was announced way back in 2005, when it started development as a very sought after title for the Xbox 360. Since then news has been very sporadic and even doubts were raised as to whether or not the title would ever see the light of day.
Since E3 there has been increased hype for a the title, but this seems to have dissipated again. However, in an interesting turn for the books, when EGTV spoke to the Managing Director of Remedy Entertainment, Matias Myllyrinne he had some interesting comments to make.
We could've put something out much earlier to be honest, and it would've been probably okay, but for us we only want to come out with a game when we have something to say and a point to make so when gamers put down their hard earned cash on a game the Remedy brand on that box needs to be a seal of quality so they're getting a certain movie like experience with good story and a good character - that really is key for us.
Logically speaking it seems apparent that the game could have been out on the market now, but unlike a lot of developers that seem to be pressed into releasing things earlier than they would like, Alan Wake seems to have been given the time it needs to be as good as they can make it.
With no concrete release date still of yet Alan Wake is however, expected to arrive sometime in Spring 2010 on XBox 360 and PC platforms.
