Alien vs Predator Issues Being Addressed

Rebellion's Alien Vs Predator will be invading your local retailers soon, but gamers also have an early opportunity to partake in the interspecies bloodbath by way of a demo that released this week on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Regrettably, there have been match-making issues plaguing the multiplayer demo.

“Unprecedented demand for Aliens vs. Predator following the release of the cross-platform demo yesterday morning brought to light matchmaking issues on the PC platform resulting in players having to wait to join games, or even not find games at all."

Rebellion issued a statement apologizing for the problems experienced on the PC version. While the Xbox 360 version remained unaffected, PC gamers had problems connecting online. Fortunately, the issue was fixed soon after. However, the same can't be said for the PlayStation 3 version. Also suffering from match-making issues, players experienced unreasonably long waiting periods just to join a game. Rebellion is currently hard at work on a solution to fix these connection issues.

"Tests so far have shown a significant improvement, but we're not yet finished with the fixes. The team will be working over the weekend to make it even better for players."

Hopefully these issues will be fixed soon, it'll be unfortunate should they persist into the retail release. Aliens Vs Predator is designed to be an online affair after all and it'll be ironic if gamers can't even find a game, let alone join one.

The game hits store shelves on February 19.
