Analyst Believes Infinity Ward Will Be 'Essentially Closed' Soon
Mike Hickey, who is an analyst for Janco Partners, believes that are the release of Modern Warfare 2's next map pack, Infinity Ward will be "essentially closed" - a slight contradiction of what we said last week.
He said "Continued defections from [Activision's] Infinity Ward studio have created meaningful uncertainty around the future of their Call of Duty: Modern Warfare franchise".
He went on to say that he expects Modern Warfare 3's development to be split between two of Activision's studios - neither of which will be historically tied to the franchise.
