APB Is 'More Than Worth $10 A Month'

Despite initially stating in 2009 that APB wouldn't have a monthly subscription fee, Realtime Worlds went away from that last month when they detailed the price plans for APB which will be available when it launches in a few months time.

Players will be able to subscribe monthly, or take part in APB's unique pricing scheme which allows them to purchase hours at a cheaper rate. Executive producer Joshua Howard believes that the monthly fee (which is lower than most MMOs at $10) is not to be snubbed though.

He stated that "APB is more than worth $10 a month. It's a fantastic price - if anything, we're under-selling the product." It'll certainly be interesting to see which pricing model is more successful and whether this will impact pricing decisions for future MMOs titles from other companies.
