Assassin's Creed 2 PS3 Requires HD Install
According to gaming website Kombo, the PlayStation 3 version of Assassin's Creed 2 will have a mandatory HD install.
Assassin's Creed 2 is the sequel to the highly successful Assassin's Creed, which broke sales expectations with over 8 million units sold worldwide.
The game will require 2GB worth of data to be installed to the PlayStation 3's hard drive, which should total about five to six minutes of waiting for players to get into the game. There's no word on exactly what this install does to help the game, but one can theorize that it allows the game to access key files quicker, leading to less or no load times throughout the game.
