Assassin's Creed 2 Receiving Multiple DLC Packs

Ubisoft Montreal has announced that Assassin's Creed 2 will be receiving the downloadable content treatment, with two upcoming DLC installments. Both DLC packs are for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The first DLC pack, called "Battle of Forli", will release sometime in January., but a specific date was not divulged by Ubisoft. The second DLC pack, called "Bonfire of the Vanities", will follow a month later in February.
Considering the game only debuted a short time ago, both DLC packs have undoubtedly been in the works for sometime. Gamers are often at-ends about the morality of charging for more content not-long after a game's release, as the content could possibly have been withheld from the full game simply to get more money out of gamers.
Ubisoft gave no further details, besides reminding gamers require a copy of Assassin's Creed 2 to play each DLC pack, as well internet and some hard drive space. Catch all that?
