Assassin's Creed 4 For PS4 Gets Talked Up By Ubisoft

Ubisoft has taken to the PlayStation Blog to talk about the PS4 version of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, which they say will look quite different to the current generation versions.

In a new developer video, Sylvian Trottier from Ubisoft stated that the PS4 version of the game will "look so much better" than the PS3 and Xbox 360 version. To back this up, Ubisoft talked about the technical qualities of Sony's new console.

"The first thing which is going to change drastically is the graphics because we think that visually - with the stronger GPU, stronger CPU, a lot of RAM - we are going to be able to exploit this console and push the bar visually."

Trottier went further by saying that "It's a lot more intuitive for engineers, it has a lot more compute shaders that we add and put them on the PS4 . And all these new techs that we are pushing are natively fitting in the PS4."

This should definitely be seen as positive news for those who're looking to invest in the PS4 and it sounds like developers are treating the PS4 in a very different way to the Nintendo Wii U, which also saw different versions of current generation software.

The current plan from Ubisoft is to release Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag on the 1st of November for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. A release on the PS4 will come alongside the launch of Sony's next-generation console, however, it hasn't been announced when that will be.

We are expected to hear more about release dates for the PS4 and indeed Microsoft's next-generation offering at this year's E3, or perhaps even sooner in the case of Microsoft.
