Atlus' Latest Sales Figures Are Suitably Promising

Atlus have just released their sales figures for the FY ending July 2009. They look at Japanese and North American sales and are actually rather promising.

In particular Persona has done extremely well for them, in Japan, beating their expectations by more than double in some cases. In particular Persona on the PlayStation Portable sold 160,000 units, something Atlus was aiming for only a third of.

While Japan has been receiving their games extremely well, unfortunately this isn't entirely the case in North America as Persona 4 didn't quite meet their expectations. However, it certainly didn't fall too short of the mark either.

The figures are as follows:

Japan -

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2 (on the PS2) - 180,000 Units (Expected 120,000 Units)
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner (on the DS) - 110,000 Units (Expected 100,000 Units)
Persona (on the PSP) - 160,000 Units (Expected 50,000 Units)
Growlanser (on the PSP) - 50,000 Units (Expected 40,000 Units)

North America -

Persona 4 (on the PS2) - 110,000 Units (Expected 150,000 Units)
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner (on the DS) - 40,000 Units (Expected 25,000 Units)
