Battlefield 3 Too Popular For Its Own Good

Following its US release, numerous complaints have emerged reporting problems connecting to multiplayer games of Battlefield 3 on the Xbox 360.

Despite a lack of sales figures, citing EA's previous claim that the beta was downloaded by over nine-and-half million users, analysts have since suggested that the server problems could be born from the simple volume of users attempting to log-on at once.

The problems were officially reported as fixed over Battlefield 3's official Twitter feed earlier in the day, but complaints have continued to emerge at a constant pace.

Here's hoping the problem is fixed by Friday, when the game finally launches in the UK. Stay tuned at Gaming Union for a more complete look at the game in our forthcoming review.
