Bayonetta Delayed For Business Reasons

Bayonetta is SEGA's upcoming 3rd Person Action title, and it's being released in Japan during October. It was initially thought that it would follow shortly after in the West, but last week it was announced that it would be delayed until 2010.

At the time, SEGA cited translation problems, and an abundance of titles from other publishers. However, speaking at GamesCom, Antoine Molant, the Senior Brand Manager for SEGA Europe had the following to say:

Bayonetta has been delayed purely for business reasons. We have loads of great games coming out this year like Alpha Protocol, Planet 51, Football Manager 2010 and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games.

It seems as though SEGA have a busy future ahead of them, especially with Aliens vs Predator coming out in February. Gamers will just have to wait a couple more months to enjoy Bayonetta, as it's not scheduled to be released in January 2010.
