BBC iPlayer Postponed Indefinitely On Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 is the only current generation console not to feature the BBC iPlayer, a hugely popular web-based service in the United Kingdom, with both the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3 having full access to the service.

Acording to the Telegraph, the BBC are unhappy with Microsoft's desire to make it only accessible to Gold Subscribers - a move which of course goes against the BBC's nature as it's a public service.

It means that the BBC iPlayer will not appear on the Xbox 360 any time soon, unless either side concedes its stance in the near future.

GamingUnion.net are currently giving away a Nintendo Wii, along with Sky Crawlers and Ghost in the Shell on Blu-Ray. Visit the competition page to find out how you can win.

Haha XBL Gold accounts are causing lot of issues at the moment. Square-Enix still has yet to announce FF XIV on the 360 because of issues with it being a gold member only thing.

This sort of thing should be allowed for all members.

Normally i side with Microsoft but they are getting a little bad with decisions in regards to \'Gold Subscriber\' only deals. I hope the rumours about the PSN taking the same turn are false
