BioWare: It Makes Sense For Us To Be Multiplatform

At GamesCom 2010, BioWare announced the news that many PS3 fans had been wanting for years, that Mass Effect was finally coming to their console.

We had the chance to speak to Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka at GamesCom about this move, and we asked them whether they'll be a full multiplatform developer moving forward.

"I don't know, it’s hard to predict all of the future. But part of it I think is that certainly as a company EA is a very multi-platform so it's one of the values of EA is being on as many platforms as possible," said Zeschuk.

"We’re not confirming specific platforms for the future titles we haven’t even announced. Mass Effect 3 is a complete unknown, even though it’s part of the trilogy, it's not officially announced," he added.

To round things out, he said "But it makes sense for us to hit as many fans as possible. I'd chalk that up in the likely category, but nothing’s definite yet"

Will Mass Effect 3 be a timed exclusive? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
