BioWare: Mass Effect 2 Doesn't Peak The Xbox 360

Mass Effect 2, BioWare's latest title, is due out towards the end of January and like the first installment into the Mass Effect franchise, it looks set to really test Microsoft's Xbox 360.

However, when speaking to CVG, Adrien Cho, a producer on Mass Effect 2, claimed that Mass Effect 2 doesn't even reach the peak of what the Xbox 360 can do.

Have we actually peaked? No. I was the technical artist on the first game and what we do is build things a lot smarter to avoid some of those issues like texture pop-in in the sequel. But I don't think we've reached that ceiling yet; there's actually a lot more power that we can get out of the 360.

Mass Effect 2 is due out as a console exclusive on the Xbox 360 on the 29th of January in Europe. It's also due out on the PC.
