Blizzard Deny World Of Warcraft Has Reached Peak

World of Warcraft developer Blizzard has denied claims that their hugely successful MMO has finally started to decline. In fact, they believe it hasn't peaked yet.

"We also changed the trial mechanism for World of Warcraft, so people trying it can now play in an unlimited way up to level 20." said Michael Ryder. "In the past it was time-based. Our data shows when people get to level 20 they’re more likely to stay on, as they have got over that initial learning curve. That will help us build and sustain our player base."

World of Warcraft currently has 11.4 million subscribers, but has seen as many as 12 million at one time. Since declaring this year's figures, Blizzard has launched the game in Brazil and launched the expansion, Cataclysm, in China.
