Call of Duty 4 Cheaters Stopped, For Now

The cheat-killing patch for the Xbox 360 version of Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4 has finally been released on Xbox Live. News of the patch was leaked on the Twitter account used for the studio late last month.

Call of Duty 4 broke away from the World War II setting used by the previous games, instead focusing on modern-era warfare. The game won numerous awards and praise from the press, and has sold over 10 million copies to date.

The two year old game had been plagued by cheaters in recent months, which prompted the developer to release this patch to fix the problem.
