Capcom Announces Super Street Fighter IV

At this year's Tokyo Game Show 2009, Capcom finally announced what had been rumored for the past few months: an expansion to the insanely popular Street Fighter IV. The original game sold incredibly well in both Japan and North America on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and is very popular in the arcades.

The game aims to build on the foundation of the original version, adding in new stages, new characters, improving the online aspects, and tweaking the game's mechanics after hearing suggestions from the game's hardcore fans. Currently, out of the current eight new characters, two have been revealed: T. Hawk and a new female character named Juri.

Super Street Fighter IV is set to be released in arcades first, then followed the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 sometime in Spring 2010. Capcom has stated that the game will not be sold at full-price, but those who have the original version will be able to obtain unnamed bonuses in the new version.

GamingUnion.net are currently giving away a Nintendo Wii, along with Sky Crawlers and Ghost in the Shell on Blu-Ray. Visit the competition page to find out how you can win.

I sadly didn\'t spend much time in the arcades in the mid 90s, but I figure that this one is gonna have a minimum of 4 versions total (including the initial version)
