Capcom Hopes Fans Will Be Patient

Upon cancelling Mega Man Legends 3 and the departure of creator Keiji Inafune, Capcom has burnt plenty of bridges with fans of the series everywhere. At this time Capcom is hoping for patience from fans and hopes to rebuild its relationships with them.

Christian Svensson, head of Capcom US, has recently stated that since Mega Man is a key brand for Capcom, key members of Capcom's team are discussing the future of the brand, but they will not be making any new announcements at this time.

"The last thing I want to do is prematurely announce something in the name of sating the fans that gets cancelled or redirected later, thereby creating an even larger wound," said Svensson. "In the meantime, we're going to be stepping up our community engagement efforts in the West."

Capcom is hoping that fans will at one point regain their trust in the brand and trust that they are doing everything in their power to help make them happy once more.
