Capcom: Monster Hunter Tri Aims For Highest Graphical Quality On Wii

The Monster Hunter franchise initially started out on the PlayStation 2, then moved over to the portable domain with the PlayStation Portable, where it cemented its place as a huge hit in Japan.

However, for Monster Hunter Tri, Capcom decided to move away from Sony platforms, and produce the game for the Wii, despite many fans craving a HD version of their beloved game.

Bearing this in mind, the producer of the Monster Hunter franchise, Ryozo Tsujimoto, still believes they should be proud of the game's graphical accomplishments. When speaking at a Monster Hunter Tri event today, he said "We tried for the highest graphical quality [with Monster Hunter Tri] on the Wii, and I think we achieved it."

Monster Hunter Tri is due out this Spring on the Nintendo Wii, expect to see an extensive preview on the site within the next few days.

It won\'t be that hard to achieve, however this game DOES look really good. I\'ll definetly be picking this up. I wish Capcom would announce a PS3 installment of the franchise, though.
