Clan Night: Team Fortress 2, PC (28th January)

That's right, ladies and gentlemen; Clan Night is back! Last year, our community get-togethers mostly consisted of Uncharted 2 Multiplayer with the odd dose of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood here and there, but in this coming year we're really looking to diversify our events across the board. Clan Nights are community events where members of the forums and Union sites get together to play some games as a group. Not only is it great to get all your GU pals together at the same time, but it also could help you make new friends!

So what better way could there be to start off than with Valve's hat crazed FPS, Team Fortress 2 on PC! If you've not played the game before you should know that it's absolutely free and easy to download via a Steam account. There are various objective modes alongside deathmatch with a variety of different classes to pick from, but all are chaotically fun. If you're new to the game, there are some handy Training Tutorials which you can use to get a feel for the controls and different classes if you want to get some practice in before playing with the rest of the clan, but don't worry if you feel you're not too skilled; I can guarantee that there will be others feeling the same way, and what better time than to kick back with some Unionites for some casual games?

So, have I piqued your interest? The time and date for this event is: Saturday 28th January, 22:00 GMT. (Please check your own timezone here)

In order to join up for this event, you need to register your interest by posting a response to this thread. After this, add both myself and Beyhan to your Steam account so that we can easily add you into games. While you're there, why not join the GU Steam Group for helpful reminders when events are going to take place on Steam? Please make sure that your game and computer are all up to date before our set start time.

We're also going to be trying out our Ventrilo server for the very first time for voice chat whilst we're playing, so please refer to the Ventrilo thread for details on how to set that up and how to acquire the password.

More details will be released closer to the event on the forums and I'll also answer any queries people have throughout the week. Just drop a comment to this and I'll get back to you as soon as I can! Looking forward to getting shot by you all!
